“During the process, Dr. Stephanie was calm and respectful, she explained everything and did not rush us.”
“When our 13-year-old dog, Greg started having debilitating pain 2 years ago, we decided to get him established with a palliative care doctor so that he was kept comfortable for the remaining years of his life. When it came time for him to cross the rainbow bridge, we wanted him to be at home with someone he knew and was comfortable with, rather than at the vet’s office and confused or afraid. Dr. Stephanie’s at-home palliative care and hospice service provided my husband and me with an option that gave us two additional, quality years with Greg. Dr. Stephanie was kind and helpful, and she was supportive of our decisions while also providing insight into how we could do what was best for Greg. Stephanie was extremely flexible, even when we requested to change his euthanasia appointment from a scheduled time in November to an earlier time in October as his health decline happened quicker than we had hoped. Being able to euthanize Greg at home was important not only for Greg’s experience but for my family’s experience as well. During the process, Dr. Stephanie was calm and respectful, she explained everything and did not rush us. Being at home helped to minimize my stress as well as Greg’s stress so that he was able to pass peacefully in a sunbeam by his favorite window.
While I miss Greg terribly, I know that this was the right decision. I highly recommend Dr. Stephanie to anyone with a pet who needs palliative hospice care.”
