In-Home Pet Euthanasia

We all hope for a peaceful, quiet passing for our pets in their home surrounded by those who love them. A home pet euthanasia with Journey Home can provide this experience.

Our Services Include:

  • Euthanasia provided in the privacy and intimacy of your own home.

  • Sedation to prevent discomfort and anxiety and remove the need for restraint.

  • Assistance with aftercare for your pet’s body, per your preference. Cremation services are available with or without ash return.

  • Memorial posting on our website.

  • Notification to your regular veterinarian of your pets’ passing.

  • Appointment availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, and weekends.

  • Please be aware that the doctor will need assistance moving pets over 30 lbs. If you and your family are physically or otherwise unable, assistance can be provided by a Client Care Specialist for an additional charge.

  • If your pet is extremely fearful or anxious or has issues with aggression, a Pre-Euthanasia Consultation is recommended to discuss possible medications and a plan to help ease stress and maintain safety for all involved. Please contact us if you’d like to discuss setting up a Pre-Euthanasia Consultation.

  • We offer several options for our families including individual cremation, where you receive only your pet’s ashes in an urn with a clay pawprint, or group cremation, where ashes are scattered and not returned to you. A variety of memorial products are available for all body care options including additional paw and/or nose prints (available in either clay or ink) as well as custom urns. Finally, we also support client options of at-home burials or when loved ones want to transport your pet to the crematorium. We proudly partner with Circle of Life Pet Cremation in Frederick for traditional flame-based cremation, and also offer Aquamation services through Last Paws.

  • Please see the “Aftercare” section for details on options for your pet’s remains.

  • If you are unable or do not desire to help the doctor transfer your pet’s body to her vehicle, we can arrange with a Client Care Specialist or the crematorium to transport the remains for an additional fee. Please call us to discuss this further. (303) 542-7213
